Swivl Capture receives video optimization and enhanced uploading updates

Just a few weeks ago we announced a bevy of updates that have made Swivl Cloud a go-to solution for managing, editing and producing videos online. Now we’re back to share with you a new bunch of updates we recently made to our mobile app, Swivl Capture.

Upload on the go with background and automatic uploading.

There was a time when uploading a video from Swivl Capture to our cloud video platform meant waiting for that upload to complete before doing anything within the app, including capturing your next video. With today’s update that functionality is a thing of the past. You can now navigate away from the upload progress screen, or even close the app, and your video will continue uploading. Background uploading is just one of six updates included in this latest release. And, like the other five updates, this new feature is designed to make capturing and creating enriched video content within Swivl Capture even easier. In addition to background uploading, we’ve also made it possible for you to automatically upload videos after capturing them. When you enable auto upload, all videos you capture will be automatically uploaded and staged on Swivl Cloud. Then, when you’re ready, you can log in to your account to manage and edit the videos you want to keep.

Small improvements that make a big difference.

Also included in this update are a handful of enhancements and improvements that you may not immediately notice. First, take another look at the interface of Swivl Capture. It’s been refreshed! Touch the upload to cloud icon next to any of the videos in your library and you’ll see it now allows for one-touch uploading. Touching the video will bring up a new menu that allows you to preview, save to photos, edit and delete videos just like before. There’s also a chance you might not immediately pick up the small change we’ve made to the video quality option under Settings. Your options are no longer small, medium and large, but HD and SD. We think these two options are more descriptive of the way in which you’ll be affecting your video. Finally, our team is always working hard to increase the speed at which your files upload to Swivl Cloud. We’ve included another update in this release to increase that speed even further. Upload a new video to Swivl Cloud and let us know what you think. Visit the app store to download the latest version of Swivl Capture and to learn more about all the recent updates.
