Joi Lunsford graduated from West Texas A&M University in December of 2003. In May of 2012 she received a master’s degree in Educational Administration from Lamar University. Mrs. Lunsford also has her ESL and GT certifications. She began her teaching career at Rex Reeves Elementary School in January of 2004, as a teaching assistant in Kindergarten. In August of 2004, she moved to a classroom teaching position in first grade. She enjoyed teaching first grade for seven years at Reeves-Hinger Elementary School. During August of 2011, she moved to an intervention/teacher support position. She continues supporting teachers and students as an instructional coach currently. Her passion for education is grounded in the belief that partnerships with and empowerment of teachers makes positive change that benefits children’s education.
