Marney Pollack is a research project coordinator at the University of Connecticut’s Neag School of Education. She works on several research projects with Dr. Devin Kearns in the Center for Behavioral Education and Research. These projects involve improving content-area literacy instruction in co-taught middle school classes and developing courses that assist special educators in providing intensive interventions in reading, math, and behavior supports. Both of these projects include an applied coaching component, in which instructional coaches work collaboratively with teachers to support their implementation of specific strategies. Her ultimate goal is to improve student outcomes (behavioral and academic) by adding to the growing body of evidence-based practices available to teachers. She is excited to explore the multiple applications of Swivl in the world of educational research!
