Myla Lee serves as a national consultant for project-based learning and literacy. She has presented her work at state and national conferences such as the International Reading Association and the International Society in Technology Education (ISTE) conferences, focusing on various topics first field-tested in her classroom.
With over 25 years of classroom experience, Myla brings her practical expertise to the professional learning opportunities she provides adult learners. With a belief that learning should be empowering, relevant, and personal, she has provided professional learning for administrators and educators in a variety of settings, focused on topics such as formative assessment, questioning/inquiry, project management, technology integration, and the 4Cs. In addition, Myla was the Project-Based Learning Specialist with Technology Integration for Novi Community Schools (Michigan) and is currently an Instructional Coach for the district, providing job-embedded professional learning for its teachers. As a consultant, she continues providing learning opportunities to educators nationally and internationally for BIE and P21.
Through her journey as a classroom teacher and now an educator for adults, Myla’s beliefs about learning continues to grow and be affirmed. Paramount among these beliefs is that a culture of thinking, curiosity, creativity, and collaboration is essential to successful student-centered learning such as project-based learning.
