Telannia Norfar

Currently, I am a math teacher, lead mentor teacher and department chair at Northwest Classen High School. In my 10 years of teaching, I have been a 9th grade academy team leader and technology coach. I have a Master’s in Teaching with Technology and am currently pursuing National Board certification. I strongly believe in using technology and student centered learning strategies in the classroom.

In my spare time, I am a National Faculty member for Buck Institute for Education. It is a recognized leader in project-based learning. I help teachers learn how to incorporate project-based learning in their classroom like I have been able to do in my own. I speak at local, state and national educational conferences. I was a featured teacher in the leadership symposium of the International Society of Education conference and webinars for Inspiration Software and Discovery Education.

Before teaching, I worked in various fields. Some of my experiences include reporting, account management, sales assistant, financial planner and freelance writer.
