In Leading and Managing a Differentiated Classroom, Tomlinson and Imbeau notice differentiated classrooms are guided by one constant question: 

“What does this student need right now to progress — and what do I need to do to make that happen?”

Shortly after the launch of the Team Admin Portal, we’re rolling out the new Insights Dashboard, giving leaders a clear, real-time view into:

• How teachers are progressing against rubric goals
  
• What kinds of feedback are being delivered most often
  
• Trends and insights from student reflections
  
• Where additional support or celebrations are needed

It’s a powerful way to give leaders sharper, actionable data and a broader, real-time view of how growth is taking shape across classrooms, teachers, and teams.

Students can reflect and get help anytime, anywhere 

M2’s student reflection experience is evolving with two major upgrades designed to better support learning beyond the classroom.

With two-way conversation, students can now ask M2 questions during reflection to revisit the day’s lesson, clarify objectives, and reinforce their understanding.

Whether they’re catching up after an absence, tackling homework, or preparing for a quiz, M2 becomes a study partner that helps them stay on track — anytime they need it.

And with multi-modal input, students can now reflect using either voice or text. Whether they’re speaking aloud at home or quietly typing in a library, M2 adapts to their environment and preferences, making meaningful reflection more accessible wherever learning happens.

Manage behavior better with a helping hand

Teachers have told us again and again: managing behavior is one of the most challenging parts of the job. We heard the question often: Can M2 help with that too?

Now, it can.

Indiana school leaders have an opportunity to strengthen instruction and improve student outcomes through two state-funded grants now open for 2025: the Digital Learning Grant (DLG) and the Next Generation School Improvement Grant (NextGen SIG). 

These grants offer Indiana educators an exciting, timely opportunity to bring innovative solutions into their schools, and both align closely with Swivl’s newest solution, M2.

Digital Learning Grant (DLG)

Available to public and charter schools that completed the 2023 School Tech Plan Survey, the Digital Learning Grant funds innovative educational technology that improves teaching and learning.

Funding priorities include:

• AI-powered tools to support instruction and reduce admin workload
• Professional development for educators
• Immersive and personalized learning
• Assistive technologies to promote access and equity

Funds may cover software, hardware, and implementation-related PD. The application for the 2025 Digital Learning Grant is open through May 16, 2025.

NextGen School Improvement Grant (SIG)

Open to schools identified for CSI or TSI under Indiana’s ESSA plan, NextGen SIG supports transformational change. It encourages schools to rethink instructional models, redesign student experiences, and partner with experts to lead the work.

Applications for the 2025–2026 School Improvement Grant are open through May 31, 2025.

Because it follows along with your instruction, M2 can pick up right where you left off and chime in with a timely and relevant contribution to keep the lesson flowing smoothly.
