How to measure how challenged your students’ feel

September 5, 2024 By Rachel Ashworth1 Min Read

MirrorTalk’s Zone is modeled off the Zone of Proximal Development (ZPD) and Yerkes-Dodson Law. Zone is used to assess how challenged a student is by the work you assign them.

Without MirrorTalk, to effectively measure a student’s Zone, teachers need to collect data points from a variety of sources for weeks – or months – to try to conclude whether a student is challenged or not.

With MirrorTalk, teachers can have the student reflect with MirrorTalk for 2 minutes a day.
